    The MSI MPG Z690 Carbon WiFi motherboard is a representative of the near-flagship MPG series with an approximate cost of around 1700 AED. That's a lot, but motherboards based on the Z690 will be a very expensive commodity, you can't even write it off as a start-up hype. We are waiting for the release of models simpler and cheaper.

    The reviewed model is designed to support the 12th generation of Intel Core processors, it was created for gamers, but, of course, for everyone else who wants to try the first heterogeneous x86 processors. The board has 17 USB ports, including 8 very fast USB 3.2 Gen2, as well as one of the fastest USB 3.2 Gen2 × 2 in the form of internal Type-C. There are 3 PCIe x16 slots, two of which receive 16 PCIe lanes from the processor, with version 5.0, and the third works in x4 mode. The board also has as many as 5 M.2 slots: one of them is connected directly to the processor with PCIe 4.0 lines, three others are connected to the Z690 chipset with PCIe 4.0 lines, and one with PCIe 3.0 lines.

    This model also has 6 SATA ports and 8 fan headers. Despite the fact that the board belongs to the MPG series (and not the top-end MEG series), its processor power system is very powerful, it is able to ensure the operation of any compatible processors with a headroom for overclocking. We also see a very competent cooling system for each potentially heating element, including drives in M.2 slots. Networking is good, with a fast 2.5Gbps wired controller and one state-of-the-art wireless controller. Among the advantages of the board, we can mention a good backlight, including ample opportunities for connecting additional RGB devices.

    After alot of research i found out that this the best motherboard to pair it with i7 12700k and RTX 3070.
