The DeWalt 16mm Keyed Chuck Dry Diamond Drill is a powerful heavy duty tool designed for high performance drilling. The 1300W motor features a two speed gearbox for increased versatility depending on applications such as drilling in wood, metal and concrete. The elctro mechanical clutch delivers improved control with power up and overload protection. The 16mm keyed steel chuck enables for fast and easy bit change, whilst offering excellent bit retention. The drill is ideal for dry core drilling into bricks and soft masonry up to 127mm. The D21570 is designed for dry diamond drilling into masonry up to 127 mm. Use speed 2 for diamond core bits with diameters between 2268 mm. Always use speed 1 for diamond core bits between 68 mm and 127 mm in diameter. Follow the core bit or manufacturer™s recommendations for using the accessory. NOTE: Always use core bits with integral centredrill systems. 1. Insert the centredrill into its holder in the centre of the core bit. 2. Drill at low speed until the core penetrates the surface approximately 510 mm. 3. Remove and unplug the machine. 4. Remove the centredrill from its holder. 5. Plug the machine in and insert the core bit into the workpiece. 6. Begin drilling, increasing to full speed and drill to the desired depth.
